    Company Description

HKTA is a non-profit organisation and the national sporting body for tennis in Hong Kong, recognised by both the International Tennis Federation (ITF) and Asian Tennis Federation (ATF). HKTA currently has more than 40 affiliated member clubs and over 4000 individual members.

HKTA meets its primary objectives through the organisation of a number of local and international tennis events as well as junior and elite development programmes, a corporate training scheme, coaching certification courses, a Tennis-For-All open enrollment programme, and a mini-tennis initiative for young children, amongst other initiatives.

The Hong Kong Lawn Tennis Association was formed in 1909 by a small group of tennis enthusiasts from recreation clubs in the region, changing to its current name of Hong Kong Tennis Association (HKTA) in 1984. More than 100 years since its inception, HKTA’s core objectives have remained the same- to promote tennis to all, to nurture talented local players and to raise the standard of the game in Hong Kong through the organisation of tournaments at all levels.

Coordination and administration of HKTA is carried out by the full-time teams at its offices located at Olympic House in So Kon Po, Causeway Bay and the HKTA Tennis Centre at Kowloon Tsai.
