Job Description

The Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach, a position supported by the NCAA Division III Diversity Coaching Enhancement Grant, will provide proper instruction, supervision and motivation to all student-athletes in addition to additional support in the areas of program coordination and game day operations.

Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach Job Description – 70% of time commitment •Provide proper instruction, supervision and motivation to all student-athletes. •Collaborate with head coaches to incorporate desired and specific goals into overall strength & conditioning plan. •Provide testing, training and progress reports to coaches and Head Strength & Conditioning Coach. •Assist with daily maintenance and upkeep of strength training facilities. •Work closely with the athletic training staff to help improve injury prevention and facilitate rehabilitation. •Teach and demonstrate proper lifting techniques for various forms of strength training. •Teach and demonstrate knowledge of speed, agility and flexibility training. •Teach and advise student athletes on proper methods of rest and recovery.

Program Coordinator Job Description – 25% of time commitment •Coordinate with cross campus partners to develop programming for student-athletes including but not limited to the Center of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Academic Affairs, Counseling Center, Residence Life.

Game Day Management Job Description – 5% of time commitment •Aid in game day management throughout the academic calendar as assigned.

Our ideal candidates will possess significant knowledge of and proven success in the instruction, supervision and motivation of student athletes, preferably at the collegiate level. A Bachelor’s degree in a related field and the ability to sometimes work evening and weekend hours is required.
